Asheville small businesses need your help!
On September 27th, in just the span of a few hours, Hurricane Helene devastated our beautiful mountain town…taking with it our entire tourism industry. As a local tour operator I am seeing first hand not only the devastation to our infrastructure, but also to our economy and the community that relies on it to survive. Our city has already lost billions of revenue in October alone- this translates to thousands of locals currently struggling to make ends meet.
While everyone loves the WNC mountains, I think we can all agree it is the people here who make Asheville what it is. The creatives and the makers and all the amazing locals who put their heart and soul into this beloved town. In order to rebuild Asheville, these are the people we will need to support to make it happen.
That’s why I think it’s important that we rely on each other for help! I am launching a fundraiser through my company, Asheville Detours, to help my fellow business owners who I know are also struggling. For the next two weeks, 50% of all profits from Asheville Detours gift certificates will be converted to donations for local business owners in need. This fundraiser will go until Tuesday, November 12th.

You may also donate directly in lieu of buying a gift certificate, and 100% of those proceeds will be given to local businesses in need.
